Holler for the chance to take it in
When night falls
I wonder who shall be in
When the sky becomes dark
Who shall be in when the clouds are not out
Who shall be in when no ones about
Ghost town ghost town
So silent and hollow
When the sun rises who shall be here tomorrow
The wind creeps into these homes
Why wasn't the window closed
The home to the left
With the big tire swing that hangs from the rickety tree
Night is upon us and there's the target
So ghost town ghost town
Show me more
Will there be death near my door
Will my neighbors see daylight
Will I be among them
Tell me wind that howls like a coyote
Will the market be ready to sell
Will the farmer's cattle do well
On through out this night
Or shall we be consumed by this invisible fright
But what a joy the morning brings
When the natural blue has been restored in this dark indigo sky that looms over my head
Shall we become enemies to gather the pitch fork, the knives, the guns
Would it be this that shall leave us undone
Oh ghost town!
Let life be breathed into you
For we are afraid of our own shadows
We are all confused
Let the majestic sun rise
Illuminate this gloomy sky
Rid the moon that guides the ocean tides
That reaches full only to leave us high and dry
Couples week down then it's all gone
Slowly showing us how wrong
Feeding us false hope
Not like you sun
That has been here for ages
You feed our crop with your illustrious rays
Warm us when we're frigid
Please return our color king
Hurrah for the new day.....
That is for anyone left to see it and flee
